The Perks Of Shooting Film

I really noticed a joy of film this week, even in this increasingly modern world. Now I'm not trying to provoke the whole digital VS film argument, just read this and enjoy:

Our house computer came down with a virus, and consequently (to cut a long boring story short) it looks like all the computers files will be lost.

'Blast!' I said, 'I'll lose my cracked version of Photoshop CS3!' (No big deal)

'Oh no!' my parents exclaimed, 'We'll lose all our holiday photos.' (Huge deal!)

I couldn't help but think...my parents scenario could have been easily avoided if they had just continued to shoot with film instead of investing in a digital camera!

So lets just take a few minutes to celebrate the joys of film, because the competition from digital is so fierce, and everyone is complaining how expensive it is to get film developed these days. 

This time, just this once, us film users can claim a mini victory!
