If like me, you are still struggling to develop and scan your own negatives effectively, then chances are you let a lab make prints for you.
If it wasn't so expensive, I'd spend a lot less time looking how to do it myself because I LOVE getting prints back.

As I've been using my local lab quite a lot recently, I've really begun to notice the advantages of being friendly with the staff. The main one being the fact I now seem to get discount on every film I get developed, for no obvious reason!
Knowing you can talk with your lab can also prove pretty useful. My lab tech is a fountain of photography information. He's like a personal photography encyclopedia!
So bear this in mind when you use your lab. Be friendly and make conversation with the staff, then reap the rewards!
