Photography and arts are a constant battle of patience imagination creativity and inspiration (probably many more things too) and sometimes you can find yourself in a position where you hate everything you do and have no motivation to get out and try again.
The good news is, if you feel this way at least one other person does to...me!
I spend a lot of time wondering why I'm not using my cameras as much as I should, or why I lack the enthusiasm to get out and use my Holga again.
I think the answer to overcoming these hurdles is simply finding a good source of inspiration, a source that really gets YOU going.
It may be a question of trial and error, but try some of these and see which ones get your creative juice flowing the most. Then you know what to do next time:
- Browse Flickr - http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/holga/
- Browse our Facebook Gallery (Very Awesome!) - http://www.facebook.com/goholga?v=photos
- Look through the posts on We Are Holga - http://we-are-holga.tumblr.com/
- Watch Videos on Youtube related to Holga - http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=holga&aq=f
- Get your cameras out and clean them (Works surprisingly well)
- Go somewhere new and take your camera
- Try some new/different film
- Get out an old camera from the back of your draw and use it.
I hope these ideas helped! If you have any other good suggestions please leave a comment and let everyone know!
