Its that time of year again where everyone realises why they bought a tripod; because its dark by the time you get home from work! I found it extremely depressing myself today but I have to confess, in that depression lurked a strange glimmer of excitement...I'm talking long exposures!
I had actually totally forgotten long exposures even existed over the summer, but luckily the bitter change in day length today brought all the memories pouring back.
That's the memories of standing on top of motorway (highway) bridges in the middle of the night freezing my ass off and trying to get a long exposure of the moving traffic below.
It's also the memory of standing in the middle of my local city and getting stared at for having a so called 'toy camera' mounted on a tripod.
So fun times lurk ahead in this depressing darkness for us photographers don't you think?
sorry its been a while, hope you had a great Halloween!
